Mission of the Church of the Resurrection Religious Education
We, the parish of the Church of the Resurrection, view religious education as a total parish experience for the students, parents, family members, catechists, parish staff and all those who form our faith community. Our program reflects an integrated learning experience composed of catechesis, prayer, sacramental preparation, liturgical celebrations, propagation of Catholic teaching, traditions and community building activities. Through the light of faith, we hope to develop in those entrusted to our care a deeper loving relationship with God.
Living a Christian Life
Living a Catholic life is not accomplished by simply attending Mass or religious education classes. It is a lifestyle that is to be witnessed everyday by what we say and what we do at home, at work and at play.
Mass Attendance
An integral part of our religious education is that the children are expected to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation and to participate fully in the sacramental life of the Church. Learning in class can be truly effective only when one meets our Lord Jesus Christ through the sacraments at the altar.
